About You & I
Welcome Dear One,
I’m so glad you’re here. A little bird told me you desire restoring practices to bring you back to balance. You love mindful movement, rest, & touch. You love that natural feeling you get when you’re in the forest, in artistic flow, or laughing with a friend. You seek simple nervous system regulation practices that are rooted in lived experience, tested with neuroscience, and inspired by the seasonal rhythms of nature.
You have found what you’re looking for. I’ve got you covered. This is what my work is all about.
A deep human need is to be nurtured, one that we long for more of in our largely solitary and busy lives. Giving yourself time for connection and intimacy with your breath, body and heart is an act of care that is essential for our mental, physical and emotional health. Sometimes, we just need someone we trust to nurture us in restoring our nature. My invitation to you is to come home to yourself.
I see you. You are welcome here.

Meet Niki
NIKI BROWN
Hi, I’m Niki. My passion is to support you to Restore Your Nature through holistic healing.
I was initiated into the healing world when my mother gave me my first reiki attunement as a child. Our home was one of supportive and gentle care. It is an honour to carry on that legacy.
Yoga entered my life while I was studying acting at the University of British Columbia. One day, on my way to a dress rehearsal, I had a car accident. Fortunately, I was unharmed and went directly to the university's ER. That night, despite the pain, I performed on stage. As they say in theater, “the show must go on,” and I finished the production without revealing my struggles. Pushing through resulted in years of rehab and changed my nervous system and my experience of pain forever.
I had dabbled in yoga throughout my teenage years, and it re-appeared as an intuitive healing choice. Yoga helped me in finding relief through the act of acceptance and surrender. The practice gave me a new perspective to the intensity of performance, and my relationship to my body gradually became more gentle and unified.
Naturally curious and driven to deepen my knowledge, I immersed myself in Ayurveda, the sister science, of yoga. While on this journey, I stumbled upon the transformative practice of Indian head massage, which became a magical elixir for the anxiety that had accompanied my artistic career. Its nurturing touch and rhythmic movements provided profound relief and rejuvenation. The artistry of Indian head massage merged holistic healing with creative expression, opening doors to self-discovery and emotional well-being. This profound fusion of yoga, Ayurveda, and Indian head massage has enriched my life and ignited a passion to offer healing arts while balancing my artistic pursuits.
It has been an esteemed honour to have taught and collaborated with fellow artists. I have been on Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods Tour, taught actress Julie Delpy, singer Flo Morrissey, and dancers from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theate. Teaching yoga has brought me across Canada, to France, the UK, Thailand, Morocco & India.
The profound wisdom of yoga, combined with the therapeutics of Ayurveda and the restorative power of Indian head massage, has guided my life towards freedom. They have made me reflective, calm, contented, alive, & devoted to living a whole and embodied life. They are a refuge during times of stress or grief, and a celebration of beauty when life is lighting me up!
It is a joy to see my students and clients benefit from discovering alignment, becoming present in their own nature, and living a more balanced & beautiful life.
I believe that through the practice of self-care, we make an offering of beauty to the world. It is beautiful to be in alignment, and healthy inside and out. That beauty radiates outwards in our relationships and creates joy and peace in our communities and beyond. That ripple effect of wellness creates a healthier world. When we connect to our own nature, we want to care for the nature of others and nature itself. Our planet needs our care.
When not teaching, I can be found cooking up beautiful food, creating in my arts studio at the City Centre Motel, laughing & philosophizing with friends & family, and bathing in the forests and oceans of my homeland of Vancouver, on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples, collectively known as the Coast Salish peoples. I humbly acknowledge and offer deep respect to the original keepers of this land, and thank them for their continued efforts to protect and restore Vancouver’s nature for future generations to come.
